For that subject I used
c_list = a_list[1:]
print(c_list)
c_list = a_list[1:len(a_list)]
print(c_list)
And got to the end of the list with both.
nice face
dude, when i start debugging it, says "debug adaptter has been terminated unexpectedly"
Isn't it an array because giving you function like pop using index comes under arrays ??
i want to see if a list has a specific string "apple", could you do that with just an IF or would you need to use a loop to check every value in the list?
So list is like Matrix in C++,
Watched the list tutorial from thenewboston, and this one is much better. Great job, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
around 1:55 when the variable in the list is typing it looks like there is some key that allows go to outside the bracket without using the the arrows key, do anyone knows how to do this? thank a lot for help
Cheers Mate !!!
I keep getting this error message when I try to run
There was an error in starting the debug server. Error = {"code":"ECONNREFUSED","errno":"ECONNREFUSED","syscall":"connect","address":"127.0.0.1","port":3000}

What am I doing wrong?
Great series, by the way.
So I made a list called Animals which contained (dog, cat, bird, lion, shark, eagle, horse, dragon.)
I want to make a list called Safe_Animals which will contain dog, cat, bird, eagle and hose.
I wrote Safe_Animals = Animals[0:3] and got from dog to bird.
My issue is, is that I wanna add eagle and horse to the list of safe animals as well. Is there something like
Safe_Animals = Animals[0:3 " + " 5:7] or something like that? I really can't figure it out.
thank you very much your teaching method is very helpful
does len(my_list) return the number of elements in the list or the last index?
Sir thank you for such amazing tutorials….im new to programming and…i did not get the part where u typed [0:2] and the console displayed output having values of places [0:1] ….any help would be highly appreciated….thank you
Having a conversation including only techie/coding slang can be pretty boring
if you want to take the list in reverse you just have to do:
new_list = my_list[::-1]
Hey Chris Great Job. Been away from coding 40+ years.
Thank you very much; you really have an act for breaking things down in an easy to understand format.
I'm only on day two of learning from this series but I noticed that if you try
new_list = my_list[1:]
Without giving an ending list item it will go to the end.
Thanks for putting out these great videos Chris! I'm really enjoying this series.
Getting back into programming after years away and learning Python with your videos. Thanks for the help!
[pylint] C0103:Invalid constant name "my_list". What's invalid about it and how do I fix it?
why cant I see the snippet?
dude thank you so much for these python vids, out of all the youtubers I've seen who do beginner tutorials, you're easily the best at explaining it in an understandable way. I feel like I'm actually getting a grasp on this stuff whereas with other guys, I'm stumbling around and mostly just copying them. #Subbed.
a lot of these videos say there is an updated tutorial, but not really, just keeps flip flopping between Sept. 8th and Sept. 20th A little annoying when watching
Hey Chris, Thanks very much for these great tutorials…excellent work, by the way I get the following error on using the '.insert' attribute of my_list:
"AttributeError: 'tuple' object has no attribute 'insert'."
Also i get similar message using the '.remove' attribute too.
Have you or anyone else here ever experienced the same ? if so what did you do to get around it ?, could it be the version of Python i'm using which is 'Python 3.5 (32 bit)' ?
so what's the difference between the .append and .insert? is it only that .insert can add items to the list at specified index?
what len mean?
Damn Chris you're on a roll, thank you for putting so much effort into these videos, I completely get why you speak so highly of Python and Django, they're such a pleasure to work with.
I've been playing around with Django for a few days, and I'm completely hooked already, it's very intuitive, but of course there's a lot of Python concepts that I want to understand at a deeper level — I hope you'll continue these series!
Really enjoying the tutorial, keep up the great work man! Also if anyone could help me with setting up ms visual studio code for c++ programming? I constantly get errors while trying to debug my programs :/
Hey M. Hawks thany ou very much for recording these helpuful videos. I was verry happy to watch'em all but it's not enough for me. I hope you are still doing others videos on python programmation. I'm looking forward for them. Have a good day !
Excellent. I'm learning again. Keep them coming…
If you want the 2 last items of the list you can do this my_list[-2:]
Chris your tutorials are great man , much better than the average tutorials which don't teach practical Python. Really appreciate this series as I'm trying to get a job in Python someday.
